As Chief Financial Officer, you'll report to the Chief Administrative Officer while guiding the financial operations of Vanderhoof. Your leadership will extend over the finance team and Visitor Centre staff, emphasizing compliance, strategic planning, and evidence-based decision-making for council operations. This position is vital for ensuring the District's financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide effective financial leadership complying with relevant legislation
• Develop Provisional and Final Financial Plans
• Oversee financial reporting and audits
• Manage taxation, revenue, and grant processes
• Supervise Finance team and Visitor Centre operations
Requirements:
• University degree in relevant field; CPA preferred
• In-depth knowledge of municipal finance practices
