Doctoral Researcher in Energy and Green House Gas Modelling

Your role

We are seeking a highly motivated Doctoral researcher to develop a generalized green house gas (GHG) model across all sectors to be integrated with the versatile sector coupled energy model, UCB-SEnMod. This spatial and time resolved combined model will enable a holistic view of direct and indirect GHG emissions, whilst considering possible renewable energy integrations.Key responsibilities:

• Establish requirements, architect, design and code a GHG module to be integrated with the UCB-SEnMod
• Extract from literature all necessary workflows to be modelled and data that is needed
• Use the combined model to design scenarios which would reduce GHG emissions
• Maintain clear documentation and version control for models and results
• Prepare the module to be used open source
• Data analysis, figure preparation, manuscript and report drafting and presentation of results at international conferences
