DPA (Designated Person Ashore)

An international shipping company is seeking an experienced and motivated professional for the position of Designated Person Ashore (DPA) to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of the company’s Safety Management System in compliance with the ISM Code and international maritime regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor the company’s Safety Management System (SMS).
• Ensure fleet compliance with ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, and other international maritime regulations.
• Act as a link between shipboard personnel and shore management regarding safety and operational matters.
• Conduct internal audits onboard vessels and within shore-based offices.
• Prepare and support vessels during external audits, inspections, and vetting processes.
• Investigate incidents, non-conformities, and near misses; implement corrective and preventive actions.
