SHERIFF’S OFFICE OF WORCESTER COUNTY POSITION DESCRIPTION[1] POSITION: Driver- Webster Bargaining Unit: NEPBA 515 Grade: 14 *I. GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * The Driver is responsible to ensure that clients are transported from the Central MA Resource Centers to their destination according to schedule. Drivers must have strong customer service skills, including communication skills and the ability to coordinate and manage large groups of people. *II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * 1. Responsible to pick up and drop off clients to appropriate destinations. 2. Ensures safety of the passengers and general public. 3. Driver must be alert, especially in heavy traffic or in bad weather to prevent accidents, and to avoid sudden stops or swerves that jar passengers. 4. Must obey all traffic laws. 5.
