Electrical technician

Key Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, wiring and fixtures in buildings.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics and technical drawings.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Diagnose electrical faults and perform necessary repairs.
• Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with other construction professionals such as engineers and contractors.
• Test electrical systems using tools such as multimeters, circuit testers, and oscilloscopes.
• Replace and upgrade outdated or defective electrical components.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs and installations.
