Summary This position is located in the United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Plains Area (PA), National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF), Facilities Operation and Management unit in Manhattan, Kansas. In this position, you will serve as the supervisor over a staff responsible for the maintenance, repair, renovations, and alterations on electrical systems and equipment supplying NBAF. Responsibilities Operate electrical distribution systems including installing, modifying, repairing, maintaining, testing, and loading new and existing electrical systems, equipment and their components. Perform maintenance and repair electrically operated laboratory equipment. Apply knowledge of wire size, type and arrangement for proper and safe operation of electrical systems.
