Engineering - Senior Backend Engineer - Platform Services (Scala)

Your mission

is to empower our customers by building secure, scalable, enterprise software that is well tested and follows industry standard patterns. You’ll work closely with the product team and our frontend engineering teams to deliver value to our customers while also investing in the quality and stability of our existing platform.

Build new features and ensure excellent code coverage in our testing

Identify performance bottlenecks and improve our code base

Propose strategies to migrate us away from legacy systems and keep our platform evolving with current technology standards

Our Tech Stack

As a backend engineer, you’ll primarily be working in Scala using the Play framework and persisting data to PostgreSQL. We provision our infrastructure with Terraform and we host on AWS. We keep our code in GitHub and deploy using Github Actions.
