Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced and hands‑on Engineering Standards Manager to drive consistency, quality, and continuous improvement across engineering operations at the Bristol Depot. Working closely with department Foremen across multiple engineering areas, this role will help establish clear engineering standards, improve ways of working, and ensure equipment is consistently prepared and delivered to a high standard.

The position is primarily workshop-based, providing a strong on‑the‑ground presence to support Foremen and teams, improve communication and workflow, and embed a “one workshop” approach across departments. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing both engineers and Foremen, helping to strengthen capability and enhance overall performance.
