Opportunity Description

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical advice, analysis, and input regarding the performance of the engineered barrier system as it relates to the preparation and execution of the safety case and post-closure safety assessment of a DGR for Canada’s Used Nuclear Fuel.
  • Lead projects and contracts with consultants, universities and other national radioactive waste management organizations on development of models and data, performance assessments, and research supporting the safety case and post-closure safety assessment.
  • Participate in the development and issuance of contracting documents (e.g., request for proposals) and evaluation and selection of contractors. Review work plans; review technical reports and outputs; monitor/report on contractor performance against work plans and schedule.
