Environmental Coordinator 2

Overview

Reporting to the Manager, Environment, the Environmental Coordinator 2 (EC2) is responsible for implementing best practices in compliance with environmental legislation and City adopted strategies (e.g. Ecological Network Management Strategy). The EC2 supports City operations and capital projects by interpreting legislative requirements and coordinating environmental planning, permitting and compliance activities related to municipal infrastructure projects, including flood protection upgrades and environmental enhancement works. The position maintains effective working relationships with internal departments, regulatory agencies, stakeholders and residents, while supporting project delivery through collaboration, funding coordination and environmental compensation planning.
