Environmental Engineer - GEMS Coordinator

Summary This position is located at the Hampton VA Medical Center (VAMC), within the Safety Section of the Facilities Management Service (FMS). This position works under the general administrative supervision of the Supervisory Occupational Health and Safety Specialist (Safety Manager) within the Safety Section. This position serves as the Green Environmental Management Systems (GEMS) Coordinator, working as a key member of the Hampton VAMC's Safety Department and as the Chair of the GEMS Committee. Responsibilities Major Duties and Responsibilities to include but not be limited to: Coordinates the efforts of Hampton VAMC staff involved with GEMS in order to ensure that the GEMS program is developed and implemented in accordance with VHA and VAMC policies and guidance.
