Job Description: Our client is seeking a fixed-term equine veterinarian for the 2026 southern hemisphere breeding season, running from August 2026 to January 2027. This role would suit an enthusiastic and hardworking veterinary surgeon with previous equine reproduction and foal medicine experience who is keen to develop further within a respected thoroughbred stud setting.

The position offers hands‑on exposure across breeding, foaling, stud medicine, and general equine care, with the main focus on scanning, reproduction work, and support for the breeding and foaling units. The successful veterinarian will work closely with experienced local veterinarians, with support and guidance available throughout the season.

Qualifications Needed:

• Primary veterinary degree registrable with the Veterinary Council of New Zealand
