Estimator – SMP

Job Description

A medium sized construction company with offices in Johannesburg are looking for an Estimator – SMP.

Minimum requirements:

•Minimum of 5-7 years technical experience and proven ability to develop professional tenders in Structural, Mechanical and Piping Projects.

• Completed diploma / degree in Engineering / Management or Quantity Surveying.

• Must have good construction and engineering contractual knowledge.

• Must be computer literate, specifically with MS Office Suite and CCS (Candy).

Your responsibilities will include:

• Prepare Structural, Mechanical and Piping estimates as directed by the Regional EPC Proposals and Estimating Manager, Proposal Engineer or his designate.

• Careful study of the tender documents, specifications, and drawings.

• Check the overall accuracy of the materials take-off / bills of quantities and specifications issued by the engineering department.
