The Executive Pastry Chef is responsible for overseeing the pastry department on the campus of the University of Delaware & all that the baking program encompasses, ensuring the highest quality of desserts and baked goods. This role involves creative direction, menu development, and management of the pastry team, while maintaining a focus on innovation and excellence in culinary presentation.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and train pastry staff, providing guidance on techniques and presentation standards.
- Develop and design new dessert recipes, keeping up with industry trends and customer preferences.
- Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring all items are fresh and properly stored.
- Coordinate work schedules for pastry team members to ensure adequate coverage during peak times.
