Executive Producer

The Executive Producer supervises news content across all media platforms and the live newscasts for a daypart.

+ Responsible for evaluating stories; organizing them into a cohesive sequence within a newscast or digital content

+ Define strategic direction with News Director and Asst. ND for content coverage to meet station objectives

+ Manage news room, contribute to the editorial process and make solid decisions in breaking news situations

+ Execute strategies that engage and grow audiences across all media devices and social platforms

+ Responsible for successful promotion and marketing of newscasts

+ Manage Schedules for Producers and Associate Producers

+ Work with other News Managers to develop strategic plans for big news events

+ Recruit Producers and Associate Producers

+ Ability to work all hours and be on-call on weekends

+ Produces a newscast if needed
