**Job Summary and Responsibilities**
As our Exercise Specialist you are responsible, in coordination with the cardiac conditioning nurse, for routine operations of the cardiac-conditioning program.
Every day you will facilitate the patient's functional progression by ensuring standards of exercise principles as individually prescribed according to specific cardiac diagnosis.
To be successful in this role you will be responsible for support of patient progress in a manner consistent with the existing and developing policies, and in accordance with the mission statement.
+ Offers education related to the cardiac disease process, medications affecting hemodynamics and exercise regime and lifestyle health behaviors.
+ Teaches coronary risk factor information to patients, family community and staff.
+ Integrates appropriate referral and counseling abilities into routine care of patients
+ Conducts recruitment of prospective program participants
