Experienced Tax Professional (EA or CPA)

We are a small, local, relationship-focused CPA firm seeking an experienced tax professional who enjoys hands-on tax work, problem-solving, and direct client interaction. This role is ideal for someone who prefers preparing and reviewing returns, resolving tax issues, and advising clients rather than managing large teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual tax returns (1040s)
• Handle a wide range of advanced individual tax matters including, but not limited to:
• - Equity compensation (e.g. - stock options, restricted stock, etc.)
• - Digital Currency (e.g. - cryptocurrency)
• - Schedule C businesses
• - Schedule E rentals (short-term and long-term)
• - Multi-state filings
• - Publicly traded partnership (PTP) K-1s
• Prepare tax projections and planning analyses
• Resolve IRS and state tax notices
• Assist clients with prior-year unfiled returns
