FACILITIES TECHNICIAN II

SUMMARY:

The Facilities Technician II is the journey level class in the Facilities Technician Series, u nder the direction of the Facilities Shift Supervisor and/or Managers. This classification performs a wide variety of unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled work in the installation, repair, maintenance, remodel and new construction of buildings, furnishing, equipment landscaping and irrigation. The Facilities Technician II participates in the installation, operation, repair and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other components of the building trades, systems and equipment. Performs additional duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works under the general direction of the Facilities Shift Supervisor or Facilities Engineering Manager;

Maintains landscaped areas by checking for proper irrigation valve & line operation, plant health and overall aesthetics;
