Facility Operations Specialist

Summary This position is in the Facility Management Service at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center (Station 553), Detroit, MI. The incumbent serves as the Facility Operations Specialist providing management of contracted services for Facility and Utility System repairs, testing, and maintenance. The incumbent also has full responsibility for planning, designing, specifying, and coordinating preventative maintenance activities using the Maximo Work Order System. Responsibilities Duties Forecast annual budgetary requirements to supervisor for contracted building maintenance and service work. Oversees and manages contracted services, repair, testing, minor construction, and maintenance work that involves a wide range of technical input and administrative tasks.
