Family Practice (200-1276)

Overview One additional family physician is needed for an addiction medicine focused practice on Vancouver Island. No prior addiction medicine experience required. ER or inpatient detox experience would be beneficial. The clinic is on the grounds of one of Canada’s premiere addiction treatment facilities with 75 inpatient beds and an average stay of 60 days. There is added variety to primary care with admission and detox management for inpatients.

Responsibilities

Provide primary care for patients, staff, and residents of Cobble Hill.

Participate in admission and detox management for inpatients.

Collaborate with onsite psychiatry services in a collegial work environment.

After hours on‑call is available but not required.

Hospital privileges at Cowichan District Hospital would be an asset but are not required.
