Field Maintenance Worker - Sanitation

Definitions:

To perform semi skilled work operating one of several types of light equipment used in road repair, mow, trim trees. Collect, load and dispose of debris and garbage from streets, alleys, drainage ditches, parks and recreation areas and other areas. This includes various types of common labor work in the maintenance or construction of streets and other public properties, and removal of garbage from city streets and alleys. Maintenance of parks and recreation fields and general labor at landfill. (See attached sheet examples of equipment).

Distinguishing Characteristics:

This is the entry level class. Employees in this class are distinguished from the Equipment Operator I and II by the performance of more routine task assigned to the position including the performance of semi-skilled and unskilled labor work.
