Field ranger (re – advertisement)

A vacancy currently exists for a Field Ranger in Agulhas National Park. The successful candidate will report to the Section Ranger. The successful candidate will support and assist line management in protecting the integrity of the area in line with relevant legislation and internal policies. The successful candidate will reside Inside the Park.

Nature Conservation qualification will be an added advantage. Firearms competency will be an added advantage. 1 – 2 years’ experience in a Nature Conservation field. Practical experience or knowledge in alien clearing, erosion control, monitoring, law enforcement and fire management. Working knowledge of relevant conservation legislation. Experience in operating a tractor will be an added advantage. Valid code 8/10 driver’s license. Clear Criminal Record (candidates will be screened).
