Field Technician III

Field Technician III provides advanced archaeological support to Crew Leaders, Field Directors, and Principal Investigators on Cultural Resource Management (CRM) projects. This role requires prior field experience and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Field Technicians III are trusted to lead small field teams, document complex stratigraphy, complete feature recording and mapping, and contribute to technical reporting. They also mentor and train junior staff, ensuring compliance with Tribal, state, and federal protocols. Project assignments are made on a rolling basis throughout the year, typically with two weeks notice, with the busiest season between May and October. Fieldwork occurs across the Pacific Northwest in varied and often extreme outdoor conditions.
