Position: Finance Director
Reports to: Band Manager
Term: Permanent Full Time
Hours: Monday – Friday 9:00am- 4:00pm
Location: Duncan’s First Nation Band Office
Position Summary
The Finance Director has the lead role in coordination of accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting activities within the Nation’s government to manage all financial affairs of the Nation. This position will require some supervision and mentorship of Jr finance staff and assist in their daily activities from time to time.
Duties
- Prepare all annual budgets for all departments and projects and work closely with the Auditor to ensure the timely completions of the annual audited financial statements for submission to funding sources;
- Ensure the accurate and preparation of all Government reports and remittances such as T4, ROE and CRA payroll remittances;
