Role Overview

Financial Control Lead – New Zealand (Fixed‑term, 12‑month parental leave)

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Finance professionals within a centralised finance function.
• Provide coordinated delivery of local technical accounting research and positions with wider Finance teams.
• Review month‑end financial results, analysing provisions, key balance‑sheet accounts and P&L performance.
• Deliver financial and board reporting and support external audit engagements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and manage legislative changes.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting and analysis, implementing strong future‑fit financial controls within a new ERP system.
• Build positive partnering relationships internally and cross‑functionally, identifying and implementing long‑term strategic objectives and promoting innovation.
