Starting Pay: $62,319 annually

Summary Under the direct supervision of a fire officer, this position is responsible for providing the highest level of protection of life and property to both the fire fighters, as well as the citizens through cooperation and innovative support of the mission of the Amarillo Fire Department. Duties include, but are not limited to Structural, Wildland and Aircraft Rescue Firefighting, providing Emergency Medical Services (EMS), performing Emergency Vehicle Extrications, responding to Hazardous Materials, performing fire apparatus and fire station maintenance, and providing public relations education. Employee shall follow all AFD safety policies and procedures.
