Overview
The Fire Instructor plays a key role in the delivery, coordination, and continuous improvement of the Firefighter Foundation Development Programme. This role provides advanced instructional expertise, quality assurance oversight, and leadership within the instructor team, ensuring all FFDP learners receive consistent, high‑quality training aligned to National Operational Guidance.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality practical and theoretical training across FFDP modules, including BA, RTC, Pumps & Water, Ladders, Hose & Hydraulics, and Fire Behaviour.
- Conduct learner assessments in accordance with FSC standards.
- Provide clear, consistent feedback to learners and support their development through coaching and structured guidance.
- Maintain high standards of delivery through lesson observation, coaching, and feedback.
- Assist in standardising training materials, assessments, and practical evolutions.
