Job Description
This phlebotomist role involves traveling to nursing homes in the Johnson City, TN area to perform blood draws, with a primary reporting location at a central patient service center. The position focuses on providing reliable and compassionate phlebotomy services, particularly for geriatric patients, while maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and patient care.
Responsibilities
+ Travel to nursing homes in the Johnson City, TN area to perform phlebotomy services for residents.
+ Report to and coordinate daily activities from the designated patient service center home base.
+ Perform between 30-50 venipuncture procedures per day, depending on patient volume and scheduling.
+ Utilize 25, 23, and 21 gauge needles, including both butterfly and straight needle techniques, as appropriate for each patient.
