Job Summary

: Contract Teacher Teaching on Call (French Immersion & English Instruction), Grades K-6School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay) is seeking a BC certified teacher to work in a 0.50 FTE temporary contract as a Teacher Teaching on Call supporting French Instruction, starting September 8, 2026 or upon completion of the posting process to June 25, 2027.Must be fully bilingual and have a degree/formal training and or teaching experience in French Language/French Immersion or French as a Second Language at the K-6 level.This position will be utilized in order of priority as a replacement for French Immersion teachers at Isabella Dicken Elementary School, in Fernie, BC. Work will be assigned daily by the Human Resources Department. First priority will be for French Immersion and French vacancies.
