Job Description Summary
The LPN III is a Licensed Practical Nurse who is enrolled in an associate or bachelor’s degree nursing program and performs nursing care activities for individuals in the Medical/Surgical Unit (e.g., 2 East, 3 East, 4 East, 5 East, 6 East, 7 East); Actively accepts, understands, and practices appropriate standards of Medical/Surgical nursing; Contributes to the nursing assessment of the Medical/Surgical patient; Participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care; Actively supports the mission, vision, and values of the hospital and department; Performs various activities related to the needs of adult and geriatric Medical/Surgical patients in accordance with the hospital’s established policies and procedures and the Alabama Board of Nursing; Utilizes knowledge gained from participation in an associate or bachelor's degree nursing program to assist the Registered Nurse in th...
