Students can explore different careers by applying their skills to real-world competitive events and completing yearlong programs that promote career exploration. CTSOs also provide the opportunity for leadership development and skill attainment. CTSOs focus on building the next generation of leaders, quickly adapting to soft and workplace skills that reflect industry standards. CTSOs should include curricula to: Keep students involved and motivated in CTE Develop strong leadership skills Develop work-based skills and employment ethics Encourage students to achieve high academic skills Enhance self-esteem and self confidence Assist students in developing high occupational standards Teach students about business partnerships and networking.
