Opportunity Description
You can make a meaningful difference on your schedule by driving cancer patients who lack reliable transportation.
As a Road To Recovery volunteer driver, you'll provide safe transportation so patients can keep their treatment schedules and focus on healing . Rides are typically Monday–Friday during the day.
Volunteers are encouraged to drive the patient to and from the appointment, but rides are listed as one-way segments . When you drive both legs, the time during the appointment is yours (run errands, grab coffee, read, or wait in a main lobby).
Volunteer drivers must :
- Be age 18–84
- Have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- Use a reliable, insured vehicle
- Pass background and motor vehicle record checks
- Complete online training and use our online ride scheduling tool
