Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner

Overview:

In accordance with professional standards of care and adhering to the corporate philosophy of OSF Medical Group (OSFMG), the Advanced Practice Nurse/Physician Assistant is responsible for:

• Gastroenterology care, including comprehensive GI focused assessments, daily rounding, histories and physicals, new consults, admissions, and discharges
• Support a rapidly growing GI service line, providing clinical partnership to the full time gastroenterologist as procedure volume and patient demand continue to expand
• Assist in managing gastroenterology patients in the clinic, helping ensure timely access, continuity of care, and high quality follow up
• Provide inpatient rounding support on GI consults as needed to maintain efficient workflow and comprehensive patient management
