General assistants - production

JOB DESCRIPTION

The General Assistant’s primary purpose is to provide support to the Production department area as dictated by operational requirements.

Positions available in the Intake, Copper shed, Steelyard, Ferrous & Non-Ferrous departments.

Responsibilities (NOT limited to the below) Sorting of various scrap metal materials Maintain safe working procedures at all times Ensure that tasks are carried out as instructed by your managers Assist with cleaning, sweeping and general housekeeping duties Shifts: department dependant Other general ad-hoc duties as required by you manager QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE Minimum Grade 12 Attention to detail Willingness to work shifts and overtime Ability to work in a team and independently Ability to function efficiently in pressurized work situations Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work with minimal supervision Sober habits QUALIFYING ATTRIBUTES Committed, hardworking and self-motivated Strong interpersonal ski...
