General Engineer (Lead Engineer)

Summary AREA OF CONSIDERTATION OPEN TO CURRENT PERMANENT FAA EMPLOYEES WITIN THE AJW-2E ORGANIZATION. The Lead Engineer (LE) is responsible for the implementation of highly complex and challenging projects comprised of multiple sub-projects and/or large national programs which require application of in-depth engineering knowledge and independent judgement and the ability to coordinate difficult and/or critical activities. Responsibilities This is a temporary position not-to-exceed two (2) years; it may be extended, terminated or become permanent without further competition. If this position remains temporary, upon completion of this assignment, the selected employee shall return to his/her original permanent position or an equivalent position in the same commuting area.
