Job Description

The role is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of plans to manage Thungela Resources Engineering Assets, Resources & Infrastructure – availability of machinery and equipment and managing resources and people to achieve planned production targets.

Responsibilities Maintain safe work practices and a safe working environment by ensuring that legal requirements and group working standards and policies related to engineering are implemented and followed on the Operations and Projects Optimise planned maintenance schedules of machinery and equipment ensuring that equipment is effectively maintained Research and implement best practice systems with respect to cost, maintenance, safety and people management Effective People Management, ensuring that roles are well defined and clarified and that competencies and learning paths are developed to human capacity and capability Financial budgeting and management of departmental costs Manage relationships with key ...
