Opportunity Description
**Job Overview:**
APTIM is seeking a midlevel geologist for a full-time position to work on the Florida Hazardous Waste Cleanup Contract and other programs. The successful candidate will work in the field performing various environmental related tasks and, in the office, compiling data and writing reports. The position will transition into a full-time project management role. This position will be based in APTIM's Tampa Florida office.
**Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:**
+ Execute various work scopes related to site assessment such as groundwater, soil and vapor sampling
+ Perform oversight and guidance for drilling operations and other contractors
+ Perform soil classification, vapor screening with OVA, and other field instrument operation
+ Document field work in clear and concise manner and photo document as necessary
+ Execute software modeling programs such as Surfer and similar software applications
