Geriatrician - Older Adults - part-time

Overview

Geriatrician – Older Adults – Part‑time – Te Whatu Ora – Waitemata. This new consultant role focuses on delivering best‑practice specialist medical care to geriatric patients in the community and as in‑patients, working with junior and senior orthopaedic staff and developing a new model of care for older inpatients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care for older adults both in the community and as in‑patients.
• Collaborate with orthopaedic medical staff to optimize patient outcomes.
• Develop and implement a new geriatric service model in partnership with the clinical director.
• Lead and develop clinical excellence and performance measures, and continuous quality improvement programme for the geriatric service.

Qualifications

• Registered (or registrable) with the NewZealand Medical Council.
