GI Attendant - Los Angeles - On Call Days

Job Summary:

The GI Attendant, under general supervision of a department head and functional direction of a Registered Nurse, assists the physician with endoscopy procedures and cleans/maintains endoscopes and accessories.

Essential Responsibilities:



+ Upholds Kaiser Permanentes Policies and Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities and applicable state, federal and local laws. Obtain pertinent information from patient before or after procedure following standard guidelines and notifying the RN/physician of non-routine answers. Ensures the availability and operation of equipment prior to each procedure according to protocols. Under direct supervision, assist the provider (e.g. positioning patients) with endoscopy procedures; polypectomy, biopsy, cytology, and cultures.
