GM Defense – Accounting Manager

**Job Description**

The primary responsibilities of this position are to develop and oversee the financial reporting and Government accounting processes for GM’s governmental contracting business unit, GM Defense. This position requires an understanding of internal and external reporting requirements and applicable technical accounting guidance associated with Government contracts. A U.S. citizen with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a controllership leadership role for a federal Government defense contractor is a must. Work involves a high level of independent judgment, decision-making, attention to detail and initiative, as well as frequent coordination and communication with others across broader finance and operations in General Motors. Given the start-up nature of this business, this role will be key to the design and implementation of Government compliant accounting and reporting processes, systems, controls and staffing requiring strong project management skills....
