The golf groundskeeper—often called a greenskeeper or turf maintenance worker—maintains the quality, playability, and aesthetics of a golf course. They operate heavy machinery, manage turf, and perform manual labor to ensure the grounds remain safe, healthy, and compliant with golf course standards.

This position offers free golf!

  • Work typically starts early, often around dawn (5:30 AM) to avoid interfering with golfers.
  • Involves heavy physical labor outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, humidity, cold).
  • Requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy objects.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is usually preferred.
  • Valid driver's license is generally required.
  • Mowing greens, tees, fairways, and roughs to precise heights.
  • Raking, edging, and weeding sand bunkers daily.
  • Changing pin (hole) locations and moving tee markers.
