THE UNIT:

The Allegheny General 5C Medicine Telemetry Unit is a 26 bed unit featuring all private rooms. The unit maintains a fast pace while serving a diverse patient population with diagnoses ranging from heart failure to gastrointestinal bleeds. The patient population includes those with heart failure, MICU stepdown or post-MICU and CCU patients, post-ventilator patients, those experiencing CHF exacerbations, altered mental status, and dyspnea/shortness of breath.
