Opportunity Description
It is an exciting time to join the Haemoglobinopathy team at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust as we look forward to a new working model of integrating community and hospital Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia Service.
The team are looking for a friendly and dynamic nurse to join the team in a liaison nurse role, an integral part in facilitating the transition between paediatric services, but increasingly bridging the gap between hospital and home too.
We are looking for someone with experience of caring for people with haemoglobinopathy conditions or awareness of the challenges they face. You will need to have excellent communication skills, and be competent in venepuncture, cannulation and the use of CVADs. Teaching, counselling or prescribing qualifications are desirable but a willingness to develop is essential. We look forward to working with you and helping you to fulfil your potential both professionally and academically.
