Opportunity Description

A new position as Head Baker has become available with this leading hospitality group at their production kitchen based in Johannesburg.

As Head Baker you’ll be leading the bakery division of this busy high-end production facility in charge of new product development, quality, consistency, health & safety, logistics, & staff management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage daily production in a fast-paced bakery kitchen
  • Oversee preparation, baking schedules, & quality control
  • Train, mentor, & supervise the bakery team
  • Manage ordering, stock control, & waste reduction
  • Maintain food safety & hygiene standards

  • Requirements:


  • SA national or valid work permit
  • Proven experience as a Head Baker or Senior Baker in a production environment
  • Strong knowledge of artisan breads, laminated doughs, & large-batch baking
