Head of Credit Risk – Special Assets Management & Portfolio Oversight

A leading UAE bank is seeking an experienced Credit Risk leader to join its senior risk management team as the principal deputy to the Chief Risk Officer. This high‑visibility role involves responsibility for the Bank’s Special Assets and Remedial portfolios, along with second‑line oversight of the wider credit portfolio across Corporate, Commercial, and SME Banking.

Approximately 70% of the role will focus on the management and optimisation of stressed, watchlist and non‑performing assets, driving recovery strategies, restructuring initiatives and portfolio remediation. The remaining 30% will involve providing independent second‑line challenge and oversight across the broader credit portfolio, ensuring alignment with risk appetite, regulatory expectations and portfolio quality objectives.
