UpGrad Future Schools Consortium (UFSC) is the K-12 school-building arm of UpGrad, India‘s largest online higher-education platform. UFSC is building 45 schools over five years, structured across three phases: Phase 1 covers the first 5 schools across Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, and Hyderabad; Phase 2 scales the network to 20 schools; and Phase 3 takes the Consortium to its full scale of 45 schools. UFSC operates across four distinct school formats: Boutique Greenfield (heritage or premium urban buildings), Tier 1 Greenfield (purpose-built campuses), Micro Schools (urban compact), and Roll-Up (long-term operational takeover of existing schools). The platform built in Phase 1 is not sized for 5 schools alone. It is designed to launch the first 5 schools and be fully ready to scale to 20.
