Job Summary

The Head of Credit Strategy & Portfolio supports the Personal and Private Banking (PPB) Chief Credit Officer in the second line of defence, providing independent oversight, check and challenge across all PPB credit portfolios. The role focuses on risk appetite, portfolio and capital management, and forward‑looking risk insights to support sustainable, risk‑adjusted growth.

Key Accountabilities Credit Risk Appetite, Oversight and Strategy – Support the CCO with independent oversight of credit risk, review and challenge portfolio risk appetite, align strategies to approved appetite, and enhance credit risk models and scoring systems. Portfolio Management & Performance – Monitor overall credit risk exposure, oversee limits and thresholds, analyse performance trends, support product and strategy reviews, and optimise portfolios through risk‑return analysis.
