Job Overview

BAND 2 HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT – TEGID WARD – Permanent, 36 Hours per week.

Main duties

• Provide patient care support within the surgical unit for both emergency and elective patients.
• Carry out tasks under or alongside a registered RN and work on an internal rotation contract.
• Support patients’ physical, emotional and safety needs while maintaining a professional approach.
• Maintain appropriate communication with patients and relatives.

Requirements

• Essential: Experience in an acute hospital or equivalent; experience dealing with the public; basic numeracy and literacy; Level 2 health and social care qualification or equivalent; approachable manner; commitment to Organisational Values and participation in PADR.
• Desirable: Previous clinical experience; Welsh language skills; completion of the Wales Induction Framework.
