Opportunity Description
Location : Kāpiti Health Centre, 35 Warrimoo Street, Paraparaumu.
Contract : Permanent, part-time, 0.6 FTE; rostered and rotating.
About the role
As an HCA, you will assist patients with daily living activities such as personal care and household tasks. These patients may be recovering from surgery, illness, or require rehabilitation support. You will work closely with our District Nurses to ensure high-quality, person-centred care.
Shift times : Morning: 8:00AM–4:30PM, Evening: 1:30PM–10:00PM (three days a week, Monday‑to‑Sunday roster).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and home help in a community setting
- Support patients transitioning from hospital to home
- Assist with hygiene, mobility, nutrition, elimination, rehabilitation, and medication prompting
- Work under the delegation and direction of a Registered Nurse
