Healthcare Assistant – Outpatients

Non‑profit private healthcare charity looking for a Healthcare Assistant in Outpatients at Bournemouth Hospital, Bank, Part Time.

Up to £15 per hour, dependent on experience. Shifts Monday to Friday 8am–9pm, Saturdays 8am–4pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist colleagues in Orthopaedics, Gynecology, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT, Cardiology, GP Services, Psychiatry and Physiotherapy.
• Manage a wide range of activities and changing priorities, ensuring smooth clinic operations.
• Help consultants and nurses with procedures such as dressings and wound care.
• Carry out pre‑assessment, both face‑to‑face and over the phone.
• Perform phlebotomy, specimen taking, ECG, basic clinical observations, chaperoning, and minor procedures.
• Collect medical records, prepare paperwork for patient admission and support other team members.
